The seven ranges of the Varlion 2023 Collection
Premium, Pro, Pro Black, Advanced, ISTV, One and Junior. Which of the Varlion ranges is most appropriate for you?
The Varlion Collection 2023 is made up of 31 rackets divided into 7 different lines that group them according to their characteristics. These ranges are designed to reach all types of players (from the most novice to the most advanced) and each of them offers several options to bring a variety of paddle tennis rackets to the market that meet the expectations of all lovers of this sport.
In this article we are going to explain the differences between each of the lines so that you can choose the one that best suits you:
The Premium Line comes to replace the Summum Line of the 2022 Collection. This year it comes loaded with novelties for Varlion’s highest quality rackets.
In this line we find six rackets with Summer and Winter versions, so we have a total of twelve models for the most demanding players.
The main novelties that we find is that all the rackets of the Premium Line include the new Airflow technology to improve the passage of air and aerodynamics, as well as the rough SLICE texture 30% more pronounced than in 2022 to increase the effects of blows, and the colored rubber to differentiate the Summer (red rubber) and Winter (black rubber) rackets.
The first two rackets to take into account are the RADIO, which remain in the catalog with the same design, but this year we finally have them with Summer and Winter versions, so their construction and feel change, as well as allowing us to choose the one that best suits the weather conditions of the place where we play. We remember that these rackets are characterized because they are the only ones in the world in which the plane is not perforated, instead the holes are drilled in the mold to avoid weakening the structure, achieving greater resistance, less weight and more elasticity.
Continuing with the novelties we find the MY Collection, a range of products focused on our beloved Mike Yanguas who has surprised us with a beautiful power racket that adapts perfectly to his game and that comes with his signature and the best technologies of the brand. As in all this line we find two versions to play at different temperatures:
Finally, we find the classic Bourne, Maxima and LW that correspond to the different shapes that we find in the Premium Range (diamond, rounded and round teardrop respectively). Let’s remember that these rackets have not only changed aesthetically, but also include Airflow technology, a more pronounced SLICE and colored rubber. These are the six versions:
The five rackets of the Premium Line also have other characteristics in common:
- PRISMA FRAME: provides better maneuverability and acceleration capacity in all hits. Includes the PRISMA protector.
- HANDLESAFETY: Offers a 100% secure grip so the racket will never come loose from the rope, or from your hand.
- SLICE TEXTURE: A roughness on the face that enhances spin when hitting the ball.
- SUMMUM TECHNOLOGY: incorporates a longer grip, a 1-centimetre larger hitting surface, a wider sweet spot and a small diffuser in the heart (WINGS DIFFUSER) that provides more speed and precision.
The PRO Line is made up of four advanced level rackets. They all share the same characteristics in terms of construction, technologies and materials, only the shape and aesthetics change:
- MAXIMA SUMMUM PRISMA SOFT, with a rounded teardrop shape for a balanced game.
- BOURNE PRISMA CARBON 3, diamond-shaped and mainly for power.
- LW PRISMA CARBON 9, with a round shape and mainly for control.
- LW PRISMA CARBON 9 PANSY, the same as the previous one but with a more feminine aesthetic design.
The great technological novelty of the PRO LINE is Aerodynamic Drilling, a new drilling system that leaves the center of the racket free to avoid turbulence. This has been demonstrated thanks to tests carried out on fluid software for aerodynamic studies. These racket offer greater resistance in the core and greater homogeneity in the blows by flexing the center of the blade less, which generates an increase in the sweet spot.
These four rackets are designed with the PRISMA frame and include a protector that adapts to this shape with hardly any weight (only seven grams) to protect them from possible bumps and scratches. We also find the rough SLICE texture, printed in direct 3D screen printing that increases the effects in the blows, and the HANDLESAFETY technology provides us with 100% grip security.
The Maxima Summum Prisma Soft differs from the rest of the rackets in this range by including all the technologies of the Summum rackets. In other words, a longer shaft, a larger hitting surface and Diffusor Wings.
The Pro Black Line is made up of four blades built using a bidirectional carbon tubular with a 38mm EVA Hypersoft core of medium hardness and laminated with layers of fiberglass fabric. The fabrics are impregnated with Varlion’s exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin, to obtain maximum elasticity and resistance, and also covered by a layer of titanium dioxide. They all come with the HANDLESAFETY grip and the SLICE rough texture.
In this range we also find two novelties for this season: the Aerdoynamic Drillingsystem, and the technology SOFTCOLOR, which allows us to use a colored rubber to match the aesthetics of the racket to give it a unique and very special touch.
We begin by highlighting two padel rackets that include SUMMUM technology, whose advantages we have already mentioned earlier in this article:
- LW SUMMUM CARBON BLACK, a soft racket, with a round shape that provides a lot of control in the game.
- BOURNE SUMMUM CARBON BLACK, a soft, tear-shaped racket, but designed for players looking for more power.
The other two models in this range are also really interesting, since they include the DIFUSOR WINGS with which to better channel the passage of air and the HEXAGON technology that will provide rigidity to the racket.
- AVANT CARBON BLACK, a soft, tear-shaped racket that offers us a great balance between control and power.
- CAÑON CARBON BLACK, a padel racket with a soft touch that will provide us with great power thanks to its diamond shape.
The Advanced Line is for sale with more affordable prices, and offers the same construction features and technologies as the last two rackets of the Pro Black Line that we have just mentioned, except for the diffuser. In this range we find three rackets in three different shapes with which to adapt to any type of player.
Thus, you can find:
- LW CARBON TI, with a round shape and mainly for control.
- LW CARBON TI MAGNOLIA, the same as the previous one, but with a different aesthetic.
- BOURNE CARBON TI, with a teardrop shape and that provides a perfect balance and balance between control and power.
The ITSV Line is designed for mid-level players who want to improve their game with rackets with which they feel comfortable on the court and improve their technique in matches and training sessions. There are three models at very affordable prices, depending on the shape, the features vary.
- BOURNE HEXAGON 8.8: a diamond-shaped power racket.
- LW HEXAGON 8.8: A round shaped control racket.
- LW HEXAGON 8.8 VIOLET: it is the same as the previous one, but it comes with a more feminine aesthetic design.
In these three blades we find a 38mm low-hardness EVA Hypersoft core laminated through layers of fiberglass fabric. The heart area is reinforced with carbon fiber fabric and impregnated with Varlion’s exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin, which provides maximum elasticity and resistance, and covered by a layer of titanium dioxide.
Being a soft racket, the core has high rebound characteristics. Transferred to the game, the technical result is a great ball output despite not applying much force in the hit. The frame is designed following the HEXAGON technology, the purpose of which is to provide rigidity to the structure of the racket, and the drilling has been applied using the Aerodynamic Drilling technology that prevents turbulence and provides us with a more homogeneous blow. And finally, it is worth noting the security system in the handle, called HANDLESAFETY, with which we obtain 100% comfort and grip security.
The ONE Line is designed to reach all those beginner players who are looking for a racket at an entry-level price with the quality guarantee of a brand like Varlion. In this line we find three soft rackets with high rebound and great ball output that will be very comfortable if you are learning to play:
- BOURNE ONE: has a diamond shape and seeks to maximize power.
- LW ONE: it has a round shape and seeks to maximize control.
- LW ONE PALM: it is the same as the previous one, but it comes with a more feminine aesthetic design.
The core is made of 38mm low hardness EVA Hypersoft and is laminated by layers of fiberglass fabric. The heart area is reinforced with carbon fiber fabric and impregnated with Varlion’s exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin, and covered with a layer of titanium dioxide.

In the Junior Line we find two rackets recommended for children between 7 and 11 years old. They have a rounded teardrop shape to facilitate control in the game. In its design, one of the main characteristics of the SUMMUM line rackets (the highest range in the collection): a longer handle that allows the little ones to hit the drive or backhand with both hands. In turn, it has been manufactured with a HEXAGON frame with the aim of making it more rigid and resistant.
It is made using a bidirectional glass and carbon tubular, and the heart is reinforced with fiberglass fabric. Its core is made of 38mm low-hardness EVA FLEXCORE, laminated with plain fiberglass fabric and impregnated with Varlion’s exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin, and covered with a layer of titanium dioxide.
It also includes technologies that we have already seen such as ADAPTED & GRADUAL HOLES or HANDLESAFETY. It is available in two colors:
