Seville’s Mario Del Castillo joins Varlion Pro Team

A few days before the start of the season with the World Padel Tour in Miami, we continue to add talent to the Pro Team. On this occasion, we welcome Mario Del Castillo.

Mario Del Castillo, the young professional padel player from Seville, poses with his new Maxima Summum Prisma padel racket.

Mario Del Castillo, Varlion Pro Team player.

The career of the 24 year old player from Seville has been totally ascending, getting a place in the final draw of the professional circuits. In this new and competitive season that is presented, Mario wants to reach more advanced stages in the tournaments he plays: “hopefully even play a final, right? (laughs). The boom that padel has experienced directly affects the number of professionals we see on the pre-qualy. The level is very high from the preliminary stages, although I am confident that we have been working very well to give a lot of war” he told us after announcing his signing.

Mario is in Miami attending different commitments and there, we will be able to see him playing in World Padel Tour next February 22nd with Wayne Boich, one of the promoters who is making possible this WPT in Miami.

About his incorporation to the Pro Team: “I am happy to be able to represent Varlion, it is a great pride and a great responsibility to be in tournaments with a brand with so much history. From the moment I could try the materials, products and see everything that was coming, I had no doubts in wanting to be here. Besides, having so many friends in the Pro Team makes for a very good atmosphere, except on the padel court where we go all out!”.

Mario is going to play with Maxima Summum Prisma, the same racket with which Jessica Castelló and Jon Sanz will also play. Made of carbon fiber and with a rounded teardrop shape, it is designed for players looking for control in their game without sacrificing power.

Welcome to the Varlion Revolution, Mario!

Characteristics of Maxima Summum Prisma:

Characteristics of Maxima Summum Prisma:

La Maxima Summum Prisma, one of the most striking rackets of the 2022 Collection thanks to its design and characteristics. Among its features we highlight:

-Rounded teardrop-shaped racket, designed for players seeking control in their game without sacrificing power.

-In order to solve the changes that temperature exerts on the blade materials, this model has been manufactured with two types of rubber: a softer one, called “W“, recommended for use at low temperatures or up to 25ºC; and a harder one, called “S“, recommended for use at temperatures higher than 25ºC.

Slice rough texture, which has been designed and developed with a series of curved lines that make the surface of the ball hook more to them and apply greater effects on your stroke.

Prisma frame for better maneuverability of the racket and greater acceleration capacity in the strokes.

Prisma protector to reinforce the head of the blade with an adhesive protector that adapts perfectly to its shape. It covers not only the frame, but also its junction with the blade plane.

Summum Technology, with a longer grip than usual to provide the player with a more comfortable and professional grip.

  • A 1 cm longer striking surface.
  • A gradual hole pattern with more holes (76 in total) to improve and expand the sweet spot of the blade.
  • Wings Diffuser Technology, with an aerodynamically improved diffuser at the heart of the blade that provides more maneuverability and precision.

Handlesafety Technology, a new system for 100% safety and comfort in the grip.
