09 Sep REGALIA AGAIN AT THE PODIUM IN GP3!

The Argentine driver, resident in Spain, certified a new podium on Saturday, finishing third, while in the second race he finished fourth. With only one race left, the Yas Marina Circuit, Regalia is still in leading the championship.

Facu Regalia, pilot for Adrian Campos, successfully completed the testings in Monza GP3, driving the Dallara GP3/13 ART Grand Prix. The Argentine reached category leader, a prelude to the Formula 1 at Monza and did not disappoint the expectations as he once again reached the podium, in what was the sixth podium of the year. He is placed as a category leader for the two last races of the year in  Abu Dhabi.

The qualifying session was not particularly easy for the pilot, and could not go beyond the eighth position on the grid. But already in the first race he showed that he will be heading for the victory. Making a spectacular start, he was in fifth place and gained another two more positions soon after, the first after the withdrawal of Connor Daly and the second after overtaking Alexander Sims. However, he could not control the speed of Lewis Williamson and ended-up at third place finish. On Sunday he started off at the sixth position on the grid. Quickly he was placed at third and , after retiring the safety car due to an accident on the first lap . When finishing off the race , and with a car difficult to steer , he preferred to ensure good overall points and not to enter into a fight with Williamson and Daniil Kvyat, to be fourth . With these results, as two races left , Regalia leads the championship with 138 points , seven more points than Kvyat , who seems to be his main rival in the fight for the title.

“The first race was difficult , especially because in the practice we do not classify as well as we wanted , but fortunately we passed the first round without problems, and was able to place third. In the end I had problems with Williamson because he was going very fast, but he could close the gap and climb the podium again . On Sunday again we made ??a good start . When I was placed at second I thought I could win a fight with Harvey , but the car started to have  some understeering . When I was closing into  Williamson and Kvyat I didn´t want to take any risks and make a mistake ,so  I finish fourth, which is a great result”, assessed Regalia. In Yas Marina Circuit, which is the last race for the championship in November, “nobody knows how this season will finish. We’ll try to make our best possible and , in this way, try to get a title which Kvyat for sure will make very difficult”.

The date of Yas Marina Circuit is on the 2^nd and 3^rd of November, Regalia has a total of 138 points in the tournament, seven more than Kvyat.
