22 Mar Jessica Castelló finalist of the WPT Chile Open
Jessica Castelló played her first final in a World Padel Tour Open on Sunday
Jessica Castelló was proclaimed Runner-up of the WPT Chile Open this Sunday after a superb start to the season that has led her to play the semifinals in Abu Dhabi and now her first final in a World Padel Tour Open.
The player from Alicante signed a great tournament to reach the final without dropping a single set and having eliminated some of the most powerful couples in the women’s ranking.
A great level of paddle tennis that unfortunately was interrupted in the middle of the final due to the high temperatures. Claudia Jensen, Jess’s partner, suffered a heat stroke that forced the revelation couple to withdraw from the match in the second set, depriving us of the show and the opportunity to see Castelló fighting for such an important title.
From here we wish Claudia a speed recovery.
Jessica, we’re sure there will be many more finals. Congratulations!
This week we will be able to see Jessica Castelló again on the court of the WPT Paraguay Open. Meanwhile we leave you with some of the best moments of Jess in Chile:
