Anna Cortiles says goodbye to professional padel

The Catalan player, Anna Cortiles, retires in Reus

anna-cortiles-cadeteAnna Cortiles, member of the Varlion Pro Team, announced her retirement this week as a professional paddle tennis player at the age of 26 and after an intense career in which she has shown talent, character and tenacity both on and off the court.

Anna started playing paddle tennis when she was just a child and she joined our team as part of the Junior Team. Years later, he has shown his courage by leaving his way of life to seek new goals.

From Varlion we are very proud to have been part of her path for so long and to have done our bit to help that girl fulfill her dream.

anna-cortilesThe World Padel Tour Reus Open It has been the tournament that Anna has chosen to say goodbye to. It has not been a coincidence, it was in Reus where she began her career in paddle tennis when she was barely 9 years old.

She debuted in this tournament yesterday without knowing what her last game would be. After a complicated first set that she lost by 6/2, Anna did not want to say goodbye so soon and achieved the comeback winning in the second and third sets by 6/2 and 6/1 to continue giving us a little more of his paddle tennis.

Today if we have experienced the final farewell to him in his confrontation of Round of 16, where we have been excited seeing his last shots within the 20×10.

The world of padel has come together to say goodbay to Anna Cortiles, that these days he has received hundreds of messages of support from fans, colleagues and institutions.
