Jessica Castelló and Anna Cortiles take the victory in the tournament held in Turin

Jessica Castelló and Anna Cortiles are proclaimed Champions of the Cupra FIP Finals,, a tournament held in Turin (Italy) from December 14 to 18. The players of the Varlion Pro Team entered the tournament as seeded heads and as such they demonstrated their status as favorites by taking home the title.

After an impeccable tournament in which they did not give up a single game, Cortiles and Castelló reached the final against another of our players, Carlotta Casali. The final final was more disputed and it became uphill for the favorites, coming down 2/5 in the first set. However, the Spanish duo knew how to react to impose their game, come back, sweep the tie break and finish the match with a 6-0 score in the second set.

There is no better way than to end the year with this victory. Congratulations Champions!

Víctor Ruiz Runner-up in the men’s category

In the men’s category Víctor Ruiz took home the runner-up title after losing 7/6, 6/7 and 6/1 in the final in a very even match that ended up unbalancing in the third set. The player from Cartagena had just played in the final of the Premier Padel in Milan and this time he was again at the gates of the title despite signing another great tournament.

Without a doubt, Víctor has finished the year in great shape. We will have to be attentive to next season to see how far this great player who never ceases to amaze us can go..
