25 Jun ELITE ATHLETES IN VALENCIA STREET CIRCUIT PADDLE EXPERIENCE
Once more again Varlion has surprised us. The paddle court installation within the Valencia urban circuit didn’t go unnoticed during the race days. It was situated in the Clock Tower terrace opposite dock T for super yachts and Formula cars teams’ motor homes.
There were many elite sport people who came round the paddle court and could enjoy along with professional paddle players from our brand: Carolina Navarro (paddle world champion), Pablo Lima (current number 2 in paddle world ranking), Seba Nerone (number 9 in world paddle ranking), David Gutierrez and Celeste Paz (both professional players). All of them could enjoy matches and demonstration games at the highest level.
From the motor world, HRT formula 1 team drivers such as Pedro de la Rosa, Dani Clos and Ma Quing Hua turned up at the court and the future promising Formula 1 driver as well: Jaime Alguersuari.
The ladies motor world has also taken part with a game between Carmen Jordá ( F3 driver) and Elena Rosel (Motorbike 2 rider) along with professional players from the brand. The game created a great deal of excitement among paddle sport fans.
We could also witness a three-team game: Real Madrid-Barça and Valencia with the participation of ex-footballers such as Dani García Lara, Sergi Barjuan, Luis Ramis, Ruben de la Red, Javier Aguirre and Juan Sanchez. Levante club had also been represented on court by bringing together their goalkeeper Munua and Mista (ex-Levante player).
It was also a great surprise to find out that Valencia Basket club players play paddle . Victor Claver and Rodrigo San Miguel had a chance to compete during the event.
During the pictures filming, some well-known media journalists and reporters Nira Juanco ( Antena 3 presenter and Laia Ferrer (TV3 reporter) could not resist enjoying such a special event .
We could also see Gonzalo Miró who didn’t dare to enter the paddle court but came to greet all the Street racing brand representatives.
For Varlion such even has undoubtedly been a great success which has been able to get into the motor world by linking in a spectacular way two business lines: paddle and racing.
