Íker Casillas, goalkeeper of the Real Madrid team and the Spanish football selection, has reached the age of 33 and, on this occasion, he has chosen to celebrate it in the easiest way: a dinner with family and friends, and a brief stroll through Ciudad de la Raqueta, where he once again sponsored the paddle charity tournament against breast cancer promoted by Ángel Martín, his friend and president of the Fundación Clínica Menorca. At Varlion, we wanted to be present sponsoring this event and, furthermore, we presented Íker with a very special gift.

Even though in this edition he did not wear his shorts or entered the field to avoid possible injuries, Íker wanted to attend, look after the media, talk with old acquaintances and, of course, pose in the tournament’s Photo call. There, we presented him with a gift on behalf of the whole Varlion team: the Avant Carbon Hexagon Difusor paddle-racket.

For yet another year, at Varlion, we wanted to be present supporting this initiative, which funds will be destined to the fight against breast cancer taking place at the Centro Integral Oncológico Clara Campal (CIOCC), lead by Doctor Laura García Estévez.

Other Casillas’ friends as Álvaro Morata or Dani Carvajal did not want to miss the event either, which Fernando Hierro, Míchel, Feliciano López, Carlos Sobera or José Mercé attended as well. Showing a great appreciation for their generous presence, Ángel Martín himself shared: “I am very grateful. Without them, nothing would be raised.”

For third season in a row, the Charity Paddle Tournament of the Clínica Menorca Foundation was a definite success in every way. Once again, the continuity of a charity task that satisfies us all was guaranteed… Both those who give as those who receive. With it, the assistential quality for breast cancer patient at the Centro Integral Oncológico Clara Campal will become a reality.

We want to thank that, once again, Clínica Menorca welcomed our presence supporting this event, which, certainly, we would be delighted to repeat.
