10 Feb FACU REGALIA JOINS GP2 FIELD WITH SAHARA FORCE INDIA
VARLION renews its bet on Facu Regalia and will keep sponsoring the Argentine driver based in Spain.
Facu finished vice-champion in GP3 last year, missing out on the title in Abu Dhabi, but catching the eye from several GP2 and F2 teams such as Caterham, Lotus and Sahara Force India.
SFIF1 and Hilmer Motorsport, the exact same day when they announced that Sahara Force India is going to race in GP2, confirmed Facu as one of their development drivers for 2014, including his participation in the GP2 series teaming up with Germany´s Daniel Abt. So he is aiming at working on the simulator before his debut at the wheel of a F1 car in the middle of the season.
We are proud of supporting Facu and his motorsport career. He has proven that tenacity and strenuous efforts, together with skills and hard work, is possible to reach the highest possible level.
In GP2 Regalia will compete against Vandoorme (current third McLaren driver and vice-champion in the World Series 3.5), Marciello (Ferrari driver and European F3 championship champion) or Rossi, current Caterham racer (winner in Abu Dhabi). The championship looks amazing and its level looks similar to GP2 glory days with drivers like Hamilton, Piquet or Rosberg.
All the best Facu! It is great to have you with us and two other world-class sportsmen like Pablo Lima and Seba Nerone.
