06 Jun Facu Regalia finished at 4th in Hungary
The Argentine driver finished at 4th place yesterday during GP3 collective test in Hungary, being fastest ART Grand Prix driver. In the morning he was 4th and then in the afternoon, under rainy conditions, Argentinas driver remained first until other drivers used slick tires when the track got dryer.
Facu Regalia finished fourth in the first of two days GP3 collective test in Hungary, a good start to prepare for the second round of the championship next week in Valencia. The Argentine driver of ART Grand Prix was fighting for the lead in the morning, and although he only used one set of new tires, he had the best time from the French team with 1:33.027, the fourth fastest time of the day. In the afternoon, the driver and the team were aiming for completing a race simulation, but it started to rain. The Argentine driver was in the lead until the track began to dry, and the other riders switched to dry tires and improved time.
“I feel happy, it was a good start. Our program for today was not to make many laps, so to be 4th fastest completing seven laps using only one set of new tires is great”, he said, adding;” in the afternoon we wanted to do a race simulation, but as it had rained and then the circuit dried we had to abort this plan. Tomorrow we will continue to work for Valenci, we still have room for improvement, but we are definitely on the right track.”
The tests will continue tomorrow at the Hungaroring.
